At what percentage of fragmentation should we defragment the drive?

I am running Windows 7 32 bit
i want to know at what percentage of fragmentation should we defragment the drive?
i will be fragmenting only my C drive
other drives rarely require to be defragmented
My C drive is 100 GB.
61GB memory is free
please let me know the correct time to defragment my disk and maintain the performance of my computer

If the PC is allways on simply schedule a defrag, by default it runs weekly
If manually running defrag do it no more than weekly

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • Open Run command as previously described
  • Type MSConfig
  • Click on Boot tab
  • Tick Safe boot in Boot option
  • Select Network
  • Click Apply and OK
  • Reboot your system

Your system will boot in Safe mode with Networking. You may now try and open Windows Store and should not see any errors.
